Wish Fulfillment

I have no idea how I got here, to a blog of my own. I was reading a news letter from the Hungerford Arcade, a thousand-year-old antiques market about an hour outside of London, and was amused by a story and photos of a Newfie visiting the place, a Newfoundland dog being just about as welcome among the china as the proverbial bull.  I decided to email that segment of the newsletter to a friend of mine who breeds Newfies and the next thing I knew I was being asked by my computer if I wanted to establish a blog of my own. I've known for quite some time that I should have a blog, the same way that a couple of centuries ago it was considered smart to keep a diary. In both cases, the writer is probably the only one who'll find the contents amusing.
